Criteria & Nomination Process
The awards are open to UK fund selectors and fund research analysts, categorised as a wealth manager/adviser/multi-manager/multi-asset manager that selects and/or researches funds to add to their own portfolio.
The nominee must have been in the investment industry less than 10 years as of 4th July 2019. And must be working in the UK within the investment industry.
The judges are looking for fund selectors and fund research analysts that have gone above and beyond their job remit for the benefit of their team, business and/or industry and stand out from the crowd for coming up with innovative initiatives that have had a positive and meaningful impact.
Nominees may have created a new process or product that is head and shoulders above its peers or directed their business or team towards a new way of thinking that has meant they are taking the lead against competitors.
Simply complete some basic details about the person you are nominating via our online portal. You can also nominate yourself. Nominations can be supported with an optional single sentence statement.
Once nominations have been received, the nominee will be contacted and forwarded a list of questions that they will be required to complete in order to progress to the next round of judging.
The entries will then be assessed by the independent judging panel, firstly online with each judge coming to an independent assessment of the entries. The panel will then convene and decide who has reached the Trailblazer standard. Further supporting material may be requested from the nominees.
If a judge has a conflict of interest they will not judge the conflicted entry and will not be present in the room for the final judging session.
Chairperson's decision is final.
